    Hello guys,
here is an aluminium Scharnhorst, please help/opinion on it. The ferulle seems to have been replaced (orientation, shade compared to the gilding of the last part), the rivet on reverse side looks heavily chipped, the reverse lnaget has scratches under gilding and indistinct decoration details... In my opinion this could be a refurbished piece. Seller says it is untouched... Thank you for your opinions.

The seller is doing just that....hes trying to sell it and will say anything to do so....or hes totally clueless.

Hello Laco...your observations on the details are correct and as Kris " Stuka " stated it is not clearly untouched.
Definitely messed with and is obvious the seller does not study these sword types let alone the Eickhorn series.

On these aluminum examples ...it is common to see a little wear that the gilting has rubbed off.

The smashed rivet alone ...says to walk away from it..and now we know why the ferule does not match the rest of the hilt.
