imperial navy hilt

Hi guys
I just received pair of navy swords candle sticks.
The detail is fantastic, it is a grosser size hilt.
But did you guys ever seen hilt without the hinged part for closing in to scabbard ?

Beautifully made, and yes an authentic product made by Clemen & Jung (as well as other Solingen makers) as an extra to the product line to tempt those Navy customers. The hilt has been cast as one piece without the hinged gate for reasons of asthetics. No swords were hurt in this production.
