Could we see a photo of the sword and scabbard separately ...matched closely beneath the lower guard to the top of the scabbard fitting...it appears in the photo that the sword looks shorter than the scabbard.
Also Known to Krebs is that they also SS proofed their scabbard throat as well.
This may be a reason why the scabbard appears longer...but will wait for that photo.
It also may be the angle of the photo making it appear that way...but a good decent sword will be slightly shorter ( but not alot ) than the scabbard which a good associate of mine mentored me at a past Max Show.

Unfortunately these are the only pictures I have, and auction goes live in about 11 hours so I doubt I can get more photos. The scabbard is SS proofed as well, I did ask the auction house.
Ok..just asking but both components look good being period.

I ended up winning this at auction.. I’ll post more detailed pictures once I have it in hand!
