Sword Identification

Article about: PLease help id this sword. Im having trouble finding out anything about this sword. I have not found another like it and am not sure where to go. It was in my uncles things from germany. He

    PLease help id this sword. Im having trouble finding out anything about this sword. I have not found another like it and am not sure where to go. It was in my uncles things from germany. He was a guard at a SS POW camp and cam back with this sword, a army dagger, arm bands etc. Im not a militaria collector and they are collecting dust in my safe. Im trying to sell them to a collector that will appreciate them but do not know what to advertise it as ro what it may be worth. PLease help Id this. Im trying to use this as a learning experience on swords and daggers.

    I understnad the theory of the 4tg reich but not what you are trying to tell me.

    Thanks Im just trying to find out anyhthing that I can. One person has said troop made another said tied to german freemasonry. Im not trying to pass anything off that it is not and just want to find what I can.
    If im trying to get info on the dagger that I have should I post it in another post?

    I am not sure what this is but I do not think it is a fantasy item. Many years ago, I saw a similar sword that a GI took out of a crypt in a bombed out church. It is likely older than the 3rd Reich period.

    I was just thinking something similar Bob now that I think about it, but better pics would tell more could you post some pics of the whole blade and such?
