I recently acquired an Eickhorn Sword that has a stamped 1935-41 logo. It has a plain blade and a portepee. I have two questions:
Can someone ID the portepee and
Were plain blades commonly sold?

I recently acquired an Eickhorn Sword that has a stamped 1935-41 logo. It has a plain blade and a portepee. I have two questions:

Hi Babini thats an Eickhorn officers sabre model # 1312 Leopard Head and yes plain blades are very common as unless the soldier preferred to pay extra and have an etch or dedication on the blade.
The Sword knot is for the Army and is correct for this Sword.
