What do you think about this Heer saber/sword?

Article about: Hello, I´m interested in buying an saber, i like the Prussian Style and as such i´ve found this supposed Wehrmacht Heer example, but as i´m not really acquainted with sabers i would like to

    For me these are not in a primary area of interest, but I do think that there could be some more "wiggle room" in trying to date them. My thinking being that the ACS/Scales maker logos are seen on a number of the German Police bayonets that have black Bakelite grips that are almost certainly 1938 and later. Best Regards, Fred

    Not an exact science to use trademarks to aid dating of edged weapons as there was variation throughout the range of products a manufacturer might make. I agree with the Police S 84/94 we see the older ACS scales logo to about 1941, while on other blades at the same time the "Alcoso" name would have appeared along with the ACS scales. And of course after 1941 the ACS became AWS.
