Re: Bandenkampfabzeichen for opinions...

I would suggest badges 2 and 3 were both bronze judging by the remnants of finish visible.
Excellent photographs too!
I tend to agree with you Adrian. It´s often not easy to say for sure the grade of this late war type 1 APB`s only from the pics. They hold their finish often not good over the years. They type 1 badges also often not in the best condition and they come often with cracks who we know.
But on the other hand,we see three original badges of Juncker. All badges are type 1 badges. We can sometimes find a mix type of this Juncker badges. It is a uncommon type:
This uncommon type have the obverse design of a Juncker type 2 badge (early type) with the set-up of a late war Type 1 badge.

Re: Bandenkampfabzeichen for opinions...
If the badge were mine I would still go for a film of vaseline, even now the white stuff has been brushed off.

Not to dig up an old topic, but what would be a fair price for an original badge? One is for sale among a lot of german badges at a local antique store, and their prices are crazy on certain things... But I can't find any more of these badges for sale to compare it to.
