    Hello friends,

I would appreciate some help with this DKiG, cloth version. Not something I've owned before, but from what I've seen posted here before it looks ok. Has a little flaw in the '9' of '1941', which should be there if I read right. Nice quality embroidery. This example is attached to a tunic I recently acquired, posted here: Luftwaffe tropical tunic to a Feldwebel, w/ DkiG

    Thanks for looking!

Appears to have the correct die flaw in the "9". Nice tunic!

No problem with the DKiG for me, looks to be period construction and compares well to other originals.
Have you done any research to see if there is a Feldwebel in the Luftwaffe who was awarded the DKiG?
Does it look like the badge has been there since the 1940s?

Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

The databases I've found so far seem to only allow searching by name, as opposed to rank, so I've had no luck - there being hundreds and hundreds of LW recipients. Any advice would be appreciated!

As to whether it looks like it's been there since the 40s, well, it's hard to judge. It's not really possible to lift the edges to see if there is any differential fading beneath.

Appears to be a good cloth DKiG to me.

There doesn’t appear to be any sign of shadow under the edge of the DKiG, so far as I can see.
