Well, at least it's finally done, in any case. A sour taste in the end from a disturbing occurrence. Let's hope that Kevin's damaged rep can recover back from this unpleasantness...

And I would also add that no matter where a deal takes place, do your homework first, know what you're spending your money on.
Establish a firm course of action/return/refund period that both buyer and seller are happy with.
If you're dealing with someone for the first time, get an email agreement of the return/refund agreement for your own peace of mind and for any potential future reference.
Stick to the deal!!!!
