Could someone help me authenticate this badge?
It's marked G.H. OSANG DRESDEN
I think the pin has been replaced.

My references tell me that if this was made by Osang, it should always have a block hinge, not a sheet metal, wrap around hinge.
Wait for other opinions.

That is my concern, but to me it looks like the hinge and pin was replaced.
Other than that does this look like an original badge to you?

I've had a quick look through other examples posted on the forum and apart from the hinge and pin issue already highlighted, the cut outs at the top between cloud and wreath don't come close to accepted originals. These seem small and not the same shape as original badges.

I do now see the discrepancy with the cutouts, that is unfortunate.
It came from a very reputable seller.
So it is likely fake ? Maybe an old post war copy ?

All I can say is that I would not buy it based upon the differences between this one and known original badges. There are better badges out there......

Sebastian T, the Moderator of the Luftwaffe awards section on WAF has stated it is a fake J.E. Hammer & Sohn with a fake Osang mark.
