Yet another bird landed today. This time a long awaited award. Namely an Erdkampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe or Ground Assault Badge.

A very nice Zincer by J.E Hammer & Söhne.

It's definitely an original but unless it is due to the lighting, I would expect to see some difference in the coloring of the clouds to the wreath.
On some makers, the clouds are actually blue, as compared to a grey wreath.
Here is my example to show what I am talking about.

I see what you mean Ralph and in hand I can definitely some slight difference in color between the wreath and cloud, although not much.

I am sorry to see that you have not received any replies to your thread on WAF.
This thread on WAF also shows a Walpach which is the maker I was referring to with the "blue" clouds. There is also another Hammer & Sohne in this thread.
