Whoever did that had a good idea wrapping the wire around the pin to give it good tension at the catch , much like a spring . Thanks for showing and you have a nice badge there also .

That is just funny, honestly. Using barbed wire to fix it? Funny and smart. Props to whatever soldier did that. Good engineering abilities (lol).
