Flugzeugführerabzeichen - post WW2 issue. Info please!

I acquired this example of a post war Flugzeugführerabzeichen (without a Swastika) to include in a display in which a former Luftwaffe pilot who later joined the SA Army's Commando Squadron based in SWA is a feature.

I would like to know more about this version and if it is indeed an official issue or a fake.

Looks like a piece made by Steinhauer & Luck. Not an early one, a later production piece going by the reverse hardware but a good award to add to a grouping. Shows wear on the wreath which adds to the look.
