One more badge that I've had a while but never photographed, an LM or LB marked piece for either Lind & Meyrer or potentially Ludwig Bertsch. The jury is still out on who made these badges for definite but the hand of Hermann Aurich is involved to make things even more complicated.

A one off badge from this unknown maker, this is variant M5.1.1 and is one of the 'straight wave' badges, the seven and a half waves being straight.

Typical reverse set up from this maker, the hinge being a sheet metal type being folded to accommodate the hinge pin, flared base which is crimped in place. the pin being a straight round wire type and the round wire catch being set in a circular crimp at the base of the badge.

Always marked with the LM or LB logo, the B rotated to lay on it's flat side.

The example has been refinished to a high standard, very similar to the refinished Souval badges that can be found and seen on Norm's Minesweeper Badge Database website. When and where this was done is impossible to say but the quality of it is there to be seen so likely not a collector with a paintbrush and model paints.
