    Default Luftwaffe Fliegerschützenabzeichen by Deumer

Because I recently acquired an untouched but nicely worn aircrew Fliegerbluse, the search immediately began for the appropriate badge to fill the one set of badge loops present . The most fitting badge for this Bluse would be the Fliegerschützenabzeichen, or "ROAG" as collectors call it. Short for "Radio Operator and Air Gunner".

I could not get a late badge as the Bluse is relatively early, thought to be a Battle of Britain capture piece. Therefore, I could not get off the hook by acquiring a less-expensive zinc example. Luckily a wonderful fellow collector in Ireland had exactly what I needed. A nice early Deumer in Tombak (or Tombac if you please). The badge is also nicely worn to go with the wear present on my Fliegerbluse. I could not resist digging out my mint cased Juncker to pose with the new Deumer in the last couple photos. I hope you enjoy!

It's a nice Deumer Todd, definitely a worn piece with nicely polished highlights from that wear. That Juncker is a beauty.
