No, full sized crosses are never marked. There has been debate in various places about this when the odd maker marked cross turns up. The general opinion is that they are post war marked to enhance the value of an otherwise low value award. Any makers mark on a full sized cross should be considered a post war addition.
Miniature crosses are a different thing, it is easy to find LDO marked minis. This is because they were a private purchase and not awarded. Therefore they come under the LDO regulations. This doesn't apply across the board as you can find them unmarked too!
