My family was recently going through the house of my deceased grandfather, a World War II veteran, and found some of his war prizes, among which was a German badge, I haven't been able to much of any information, but I did see it in a 1938 Assmann Fallschirmjager badge catalog.

Would anyone have some information to share, its rarity/worth?

Hello and welcome to the forum.
Unfortunately I don't think the item in your photo is worth very much. It is part of a Luftwaffe Marksmanship lanyard. I've attached a photo of one in wear. You can see the piece in question on the wearers right hand shoulder.
Like I said, it is only part of a bigger thing and unless someone really wants one of these to complete a lanyard missing one of these it really isn't worth a great deal.
Personally I would keep it as part of the memories of your Grandfather.
