Not one for me. Doesn't match known original Schwerin badges in my opinion.
Makers mark is different, there should be a gap between BERLIN and 68.
I don't believe there is a variant that doesn't have a head on the hinge pin, should be either a domed head or a flat waffle head pin.
The inside of the wreath hasn't been filed down.
The catch is on a base plate which I'm not aware occurred on original 1st pattern tombak badges.
The sharp edge of the semi hollow back above the hinge differs on originals, should be less pronounced.
Numerous details on the obverse are different from those found on original badges.
Schwerin 1st pattern badges were only made in tombak, therefore the bubbling on the reverse and the waves has been added to make it look like aged zinc.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
It's a postwar reproduction.
Adrian has mentioned most of it's faults.
