Original badge from "IMME", but repaired imo.
Rivets and catch imo repaired.

Beautiful even with the repair. My favorite maker for this type badge
D.
I agree and this is a favourite of mine too but realistically from a collecting point of view those are hefty punch marks on the front. It is not rare to see this kind of "tightening" of the rivets but the marks left in my opinion add up to more than the scars of age. The punch marks on the rear should affect the value but those on the front more so. I would be looking for a really good price here!
Still a collectible piece though.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares more about than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature with no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
Hi gentlemen,
thank you for your observations. Indeed I had noticed the marks on the front but didn't assess it I was because of a repair. Definitely the price (1K€) is too high for a repaired badge, even a good looking one.
I will continue to search…
regards,
Pierre
