Measurements quoted as 23 15/16" wide and 13 1/4 high. Apparently was taken from a burned railway carriage. Has 2 bullet holes in it.

I have not seen a back of an original eagle that looks like the one posted but I do not have enough experience. Are there any maker marks? I do not buy the bullet hole story. The holes are too smooth on the exit for it to have been shot IMHO.

I suggest you look at other examples posted on this forum and take note of the back of the swastika part.
I believe I see casting relief hole marks on the reverse of this part.

If you look at the last photo you posted, you can see smaller circles around on the outside of the swastika arms. I don't believe these should be there.

When you see these flat crude cast backs, with holes drilled through the plaque where the studs would normally be, that is a clear indication of a post war eagle.
