Hello to all,
Thank you for allowing me to join this forum.
My personal interest in the collecting area are antique maps, old drawing and paintings and ww2 Militaria. Also items related to the days of liberation of Holland, The Netherlands.
A couple of year ago I have started with writing book about a US ship that participated in the D-Day landing, Omaha Beach. During research my interest in the military items themselves grew. Now I have a very, very modest collection of some specific items. Finding out the history behind each and every item is important to me. Best of both worlds: collecting and learning.... And, in doing so, remembering...lest we forget.

This forum will be another great source of much needed shared knowledge.
