Well it's trying be a side arm for the Reichfinanzverwaltung (RFV) but I have my doubts. Most seen are standard KS98 type bird head bayonet in polished steel. This one has the Polizei style hilt in nickel plated alloy. Also I'm not aware of RFV bayonets being made by Puma, usually see Alexander Coppel or Eickhorn or E & F Horster.
I would suspect a fantasy piece.
I understand.Thank you !
Same opinion as Anderson, a $20-$30 dollar "investment" in some very easy to acquire tools locally or via the Internet and something to darken the newly created markings is all it takes. l Best Regards, Fred
Same opinion, strange remove of surface on crossguard before the stamp applied.
It doesn't have much to do with the police
RFV means Reich Finance Administration - here the customs border guard.
I personally think this bayonet is not real but rather a phantasy product.
Here the offer:
eGun - Der Marktplatz für Jäger, Schützen und Angler
Number: 14447473
please also have a look at the other offers ...
It resembles a bit with the police bayonet due to the vulture head at the end of the handle
