Thank you, Larry. I'll learn the decorum
It's missing the emblem on the stag handle, but there's a small hole where it should be
Nice piece, the grip emblem may have been removed due to the denazification process, you may be able to find a replacement, add a green portepee if you want to dress it up a bit more!
Thank you. What is it supposed to be...a Stag with a swastika between horns? Might take me a while, but I'll find it
Ok, that's what I thought...Thanks Ger. My scabbard looks to match up with that one, which is re-assuring. I have an acorn on the pommel and also oak leaves, but that's pretty close.
Mine also has etching along the spine....pretty cool. I paid $325 for this, so I feel good about the purchase.
There are a few black spot on the blade that I'd sure love to polish out, but I'm guessing that isn't advisable.

Nice looking piece! You stole that one, some would pay your purchase amount just for the frog! LOL.. Congrats! Kevin.
I do not think you can get those black spots out and trying to do so may harm the etch, so leave it be is my advice, 325 AND you got the frog!!!!!!!! someone call the police! haha good job!
P.S check johnsons website for a grip emblem, http://www.johnsonreferencebooks.com he has alot of parts, not saying he will have what you need but its a start!
