Senior Forrester's Cutlass Grips

Morning all, new here looking for information on a few pieces I have. All information good or bad most welcome. This cutlass was found in Illinois about 15 years ago. My main concern is the grips, are they right?? I have searched the web to the best of my ability and can find nothing kike them. The edges of the grips are not smoothly rounded If the grips are wrong then the whole piece is suspect. Please request any other photos, Ill take and post them right away. WKC are known for their acorns who differ in size from large to small.
I have owned 3 of those in the past with the same deluxe clamshell, all exactly like the one i'll show the link below.

I have seen this kind of shape on period Eickhorn Hirschfängers with artificial ivory, so far not on WKC.

Well the plates themself seem to be period, but its not textbook.
The hanger and portepee are nice originals.

Maybe Gary will chime in, he is specialised in hunting stuff.
