Wow... incredible photos and history.
What a fantastic, potted history of his service!
Am I right in thinking he served in the 2./Flug-betriebskompanie, Transport Geschwader 1?
Wonderful set and especially interesting to see all the PoW release papers too!
Great stuff!
Rob
P.S: Aah, yep.. just found his unit on one of the discharge papers! (I was going by his Soldbuch).
Lovely group Rossi.
Really nice group Rossi, thank you for sharing it with us.
I can’t really read the text properly because it’s slightly out of focus, but it looks like he was wounded by shrapnel from English tank fire on March 7, 1945 west of Wesel (while serving with Fallschirmjäger Regiment 7). He underwent abdominal surgery the same day and was in various hospitals until August 1945.

Fantastic grouping Rossi. Really impressive and very historical. Having the Soldbuch is especially neat, as the soldiers carried them on their person.

I find it interesting that so many photo albums start with the soldier being in the RAD.
Actually, this in many cases is what we should expect.
Nice album Kirk!
