This is a letter of condolence to the mother of "Alois", who was killed...It was written by one of his fellow soldiers...

However, I have a doubt about the regiment to which the soldier belongs. The date 03.04.1943 is not in the dates sent.
Can you help me, identify the city or country where the letter was sent?

Grenadier-Regiment 684
Entstanden am 15. Oktober 1942 durch die Umbenennung des Infanterie-Regiments 684 der 335. Infanterie-Division. Das III. Bataillon wurde im dezember 1943 aufgelöst. Das Regiment wurde im August 1944 in der Südukraine bei Kischinew vernichtet.
Ersatztruppenteil war das Infanterie-Ersatz-Bataillon 380.

looking at the photo that came with the letter. The uniform (neckwear insignias) looks the luftwaffe.
Maybe the photo does not belong to the letter...???
