The gates of hell were opened and we accepted the invitation to enter" 26/880 Lance Sgt, Edward Dyke. 26th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers , ( 3rd Tyneside Irish )

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

JMM, thanks for those valuable contributions; you are way ahead of me, This is exactly the sort of involvement I had hoped to achieve with this thread, which is intended to educational. By-the-way, I obtained a copy of Memoirs of a Wartime Interpreter by Yelena Rzhevskaya. It is a very interesting and valuable book for several reasons and I second your recommendations for it. The Best, Dwight
Hey all
What edition is this Mein Kampf?
To me it looks like the wedding edition but it lacks the page with the signatures and it is missing the emblem on the front
It is made in 1941, Wenen, Austria
Justaguy1250; It is an unused Wedding edition. Every mayor in Germany had a stack of these to hand-out to a newly married couple. The dedication page was a separate page that was filled out and pasted into the book. The city seal was also stamped onto the cover at the same time. Yours is an example of a copy that was never used. Dwight
