Lot of SS Feldpost - authenticity check!
I am buying a lot of SS feldpost and I just wanted to hear with you experts if everything seems legit! I only bought one lot of SS feldpost before, I payed a lot for it and it ended up with just being ordinary wermacht feldpost so I do not want to make the same misstake again....... So, good or not?
Here is the description for the lot:
"For sale a lot of 39 Fieldpost letters from a SS Rottenführer of LAH from 1941 untill 1944. He died in the fighting of Normandie 11th August 1944. His name was Günter Prange and he's buried in Mont-de-Huisnes, France. His last letter was written 26th of July.
He ended all his letters with "Heil Hitler!", except his last one.
Fieldpostnumber is 29707 C until September 1943, from October 1943 it's 29707 A."

Re: Lot of SS Feldpost - authenticity check!
Do you think it is possible that 1 man could be in all of these different companies?

Re: Lot of SS Feldpost - authenticity check!
No. You need to understand that the numbers were used by the Staff and Kompanies numbered 1 through to 4 or 5. He would have be in one of them, not all. Naturally men did transfer at different times to other Kompanies.
Cheers, Ade.
