    Hi lonewolf.

He was born on the 8th of August 1915 in NiederFlörsheim in the Rhineland.

His Truppenteil (unit) says - Stab Panzer Regiment 3, II Abteilung. Stab means staff (sometimes you see it translated as Rod) and Abteilung can translate to department, so he was in the staff of the 2nd department which was in charge of the 5th to 8th Kompanies.

His Dienstgrad (rank) says - Gefr (Gefreiter)

He was killed on the 8th of September 1939 in Biskupice

His cause of death says Gefallen: I. G. K = Gefallen: Infanterie Geschuß Kopf (Killed n action: Infantry shot head)

He was originally buried in the Heldenfriedhof (Heroes cemetery) in Radlow, but is now buried in the military cemetery in Siemianowice, Poland. Gravesite: Endgrablage: Block 7 Row 3 Grave 182

No worries bud. If you need any other translation etc post up what you have and we can help out. It sounds like an interesting group for a very early casualty too.

    Kind regards,

    Will.
