    It's not strictly a Death Card. It's a photograph taken in 1944 of a kind of commemorative monument to the dead soldiers in that parish inside the church.

    Katholische Stadtpfarrkirche St. Josef (St Joseph Catholic Chrurch) in Reinhausen. Reinhausen i's a District of Regensburg (Upper Palatinate, Bavaria)

    Military Unit: Infanterie Geschutz Kompanie 216 Goslar
    Death Date: 8 Sep 1944
    Death Place: Kolmar (Colmar France)

    His cause of death is noted as - Arrosions blutung aus dem Aortenbend mit Brustschuss (Arrosion bleeding from the aortic bend with a shot in the chest)

    Alfons Hurt is buried in the military cemetery in Bergheim, France.

    Death/missing date: 1945
    Death/missing place: Granowo pow. Chojnice
    Service rank: Obergefreiter

    Johann Hurt has not yet been transferred to a military cemetery set up by the Volksbund.

    I have quite a few , Ill post them in due course when I get round to it although typically on average how many death cards were actually produced per individual?

    I suppose it highly depends on how many people attended the respective ceremony etc.

    I don't think there was a typical amount produced, as you have already deduced it depends on the size of family, friends etc.
