    Default RAD Photograph Grouping

I got some photos as a present. This is from a grouping that mostly shows RAD members. You can recognize some of them troughout the series of photos that i will be posting so i asume they belong together. I was told that some of them went to the Wehrmacht and Waffen SS later on, but this is just a story that the seller told me. I don't really take to much value on this. The lot also has some photos of SS members wearing cloth totenkopf on their caps and collars. I don't know from what division they are, but i will be posting those later on. I know some of you guys appreciate RAD and old photographs! Nothing special to see here, but if anyone knows something more about these guys or recognizes the places that they are in. Please post and share! Enjoy!

Really nice set of photos, thank you for sharing with us.

Is there anything written on the back of the photos, if so maybe we could tell where they were taken.

Some writing on the back, The first one is not readable for me. The second is 28 Oktober, 1942 with a name A. Brener?

On the other ones are only 2 digit numbers written, not something special i think.

Thank you Willmore, I was posting these as you were asking haha!

On the photos that show a ship and water. There is a big building / castle in the background on the hill. This maybe still exists?

I can pick out a few letters but that’s about it for the first one.

I definitely agree with the date of Oktoberfest 1942. The other could read 1. Brener.

I’d imagine the castle would still exist today, I would love to know where it is.

I think I’ve found the castle in the first picture, but I can’t do a side by side comparison because I use an iPad. Anyway, I think it is Reichenstein Castle (German: Burg Reichenstein), also known as Falkenburg, locates in Trechtingshausen, Germany.

I think you are right Willmore! Thank you. A lot of the photos are developed by a company in Dortmund. Makes sense!

This group foto looks like 1/262, Arbeitsgau XXVI Wuttemberg, Gruppe 262 Freudenstadt, 1/262 Freudenstadt,' Herzog Friedrich I von Wuttemberg' pre 36' or close as they still wear the claw type buckle.. G

Thank you Gwar, You are one of the people that i was thinking about when i saw these photos.

Unfortunately the arm shield with devision tag is not sharp enough, but great stuff that you can almost say this for certain due to a few specifics! There are some more group photos where they show the "claw" type buckle among the serie i posted.
