Some post-war signed photos of RKT Artur Becker-Neetz that I treasure. We met a couple times when I last lived in Germany to discuss his war time service and he graciously and unexpectedly sent this framed gift to me. He was amused to meet with an American tank officer of German heritage that spoke passable German, but the honor was all mine as I was thrilled to have a couple private meetings with an RKT.

We have sadly lost Peter Spoden at age 100, the last of the golden generation are now finally passing.
