    Alois was born on April 18th 1915. During the war he held the rank of Obergefreiter and served with the 12th Battery, Artillery Regiment 291. He was killed in action on April 10th 1944. The battery was attached to the 291 Infantry Division which was near Tarnopol, Ukraine at the time of his death. The unit would later be destroyed in the Vistula Bend in January 1945.

    Military Unit: 12./Batterie Artillerie Regiment 291
    Death Date: 10 April 1944
    Death Place: kriegslazarett 4/685 Reichshof

    No cause of death is listed on the casualty card.

    Alois Wallner has probably been transferred as an unknown soldier to the military cemetery Siemianowice, Poland.
