I came across this Pathe News clip of the British army battle for the Ismaliya Police station in Egypt, 1952. Tan painted MKIIIs in action.Steve.
Brilliant! I liked that not so much because of the helmet issue but because I originate from Rochdale upon which the 6th Bn Lancashire Fusiliers was based. Great to see the boys in action! You can't tell in black and white but their hackles are bright primrose yellow and it's not often you see pictures of the LF beret badge actually in wear.

Also for the helmet afficionados at 1:40 mins the LF helmet flash appears!

    Thanks for showing

    Regards
