Doderlein de Win. AOKT mei 1965.
The blue ranks and the silver badge are police, the shoulder patch and metal collar insignia are still in use today (in 1947 the scroll with Qua Patet Orbis was added), the 'Korps Mariniers' shouldertitle (only worn on the left shoulder on the cammies) is modern. The straight ones are older (1950's, '60's) and the 'Netherlands Marines' one was worn by Dutch marines who were trained by the USMC in the US in WW2. The red and red/gold ranks are still worn on the Dress uniform (known as the 'Barathea') I believe.
Thank you kindly earlymb
Very interesting photo's too, especially the one with the FN MAG as in the early '60s the marines were still armed with US WW2 weapons such as the M1 rifle and carbine, and the BAR. This could have been one of the earliest MAG's in service with them
