Interesting variations. In the photo I posted it's clear the colour could vary slightly and the NZ ones seem to have a more projecting brim than the Aussie made ones.

Yes it's a more similar shape to the British one.

A couple more photos of the NZ bush hat/boonie I originally posted in #5.

A photo of NZ SAS in Malaya in 1965 shows this same type with the press button on either side to pin up the brim.
