Unknown Tool Pouch

Hello all.
I suspect this tool pouch is likely post VN era but think this may be a good place to start. The style reminds me a bit of British pattern ‘37 and came to me with a mix of Australian and US gear. Aluminium buckle components and a brass eyelet. I can’t read the markings very well; NSN is ‘5140’.. (which indicates it is a tool pouch of some type) and’‘Schonenbach K’.. Germany?

After discussing this today with an veteran Australian Army tank driver; its very possibly a pouch that is part of a MG3 cleaning kit or related tools. As the Leopard Tank was used late ‘70’s onwards, its post VN. Happy for this post to be moved. Cheers.

It does have a German NSN, 5140-12-146-9053 POUCH,MECHANIC'S TOOLS - 30 May 1969 made by RHEINMETALL LANDSYSTEME GMBH & KRAUSS-MAFFEI WEGMANN GMBH & CO. KG.
Both companies make MG3s
