Krim Ring ok?

Article about: I've been wanting to get one of these for awhile, and I like the look of this one, maybe made of silver? Does it look ok? Thanks, Eddie

    Ahh - 'Moosehead Peninsula' ! - ( I was wondering just what exactly
    that was supposed to be on the opposite side ) Quite crude.........!

    Hmm, interesting, some say good, some say bad... I guess it does look kinda like a moosehead, but it also looks that way on a Krim Shield... Steve, there's a palm tree on one side and a depiction of the fortress of Sewastopol on the other side I believe. Here's my "Tunis" ring for comparison:

    Hard to see because it's hard to get a good pic today, but there is a lot of small detail in the background like on these Krim rings. I think a lot of them look the same because there was a market for them, local sellers would make these and sell them to the soldiers, I don't think most of these were actually made by the soldiers themselves, just like GI's didn't make the ones that said "Phillipines 1945" or "Palermo 1944" or "Anzio".
