M18 cutout

My newest find, what are your thoughts about this one.

Looks like a good one, but please take a straight on shot to show the flares at the top pf the cut out. Also look for the ET64 stamp (I think I see it in the 7th picture). The pictures aren't great, but from what I see i think the shell and the liner are correct. Nice pick up, these are not very easy to find. Jim G.

The Cut-Out Stahlhelm is my "Holy Grail"... Hopefully, someday I'll be able to add one to my collection as well...Can you tell us more as to where it came from etc?

Everything of the helmet looks correct. Both the helmet bell and the lining.
No complaints, a beautiful original from the First World War.

@Glenn I'm sure you'll find one for your collection in the future. As you can see, there are still some out there. A few years ago, I was lucky enough to find a nice M18 with ear cutouts, which was used by the Reichswehr after the First World War. So don't give up, you will surely find one too.

@glennagain hi sorry for the late reply, I am for the most part not very active here, but to answer your question, the M18 cutout is a bog find, it was found near Belgium. it was recovered with a few other helmets, I have another M16 piece, which came from the same find.
