    It dose have the Training band on his helmet, so it could be post war (1919-1925).

    Actually it looks more like a breadbag strap to me, but I can be wrong of course...

    The chinstrap is the early 30's type that actually never really ceased being used on W1 reissue helms in the TR period, if you look close I'm betting there is a leather backing to the roller buckle along with the loop, but I've lost bets before!!!

    I agree with Eric. Morris's photo is a Weimar soldier. His collar Litzen are too long for WWI and the shoulder straps have rounded ends, again not a normal WWI feature.
