German Cavalry Sword???

Hi,
I was wondering if the hilt of this sword is correct for a German Army sword or a reproduction. It looks like a WWI era cavalry sword to me. But I am not an expert on swords so any help would be appreciated.

Not great photos due to the flash, but looks OK. I'd like to see the blade as this type of hilt was fitted to a number of different blades for both Army officers and some non military.

Looks like Puma sabre.No.9 should be probably a modell in maker Katalog. With similar etch i would tend to Cavalry unit.
