The bayonet was probably corectly deciphered, the source should be find in the F.Rudiger books, as Williams only used info from this author.
Firstly the pommel looks like steel and cleaned, the maker is identical, same as the date 1876 and proof, the crossguard number was removed by cleaning, possible remains of 6 there, i assume the scabbard is not from this piece, there is different knob, unvisible or other proofs.
the Williams 239 looks firstly as have a brass handle, and secondly the scabbard is not typical for german bayonet, more real bavarian or other country yataghan scabbard.
I looked to Rudiger IV.part, and all information of Williams book about this type of bayonets are from Rudiger book probably.
The 239 is a early production piece also 75 marked should be brass handle, the blade are from captured french Chassepots or are copies of the french blades and new one S1871 type handle were used.
The here presented iron handle pcs should be rare, with made from Neuhaus, the scabbard should have steel fittings not brass.Designation from Ruediger book:
Haubajonett fuer Fussgendarmen der Kaiserlichen Gendarmerie Brigade in Elsass Lothringen.
