    Dear members,

I just came across this Preußischer Infanterie Offiziersdegen M1889.
Even if it is not mint, I really liked it, I always liked this IOD 1889.

I have a question related to the Porte Epee, is it matching the sword ? Is that a Prussian Porte Epee ?
If you know any web site explaining the different Porte Epee, that would be great.

    Kind regards

If I had one, I would gladly.
It would also be on my sword.

For a sword for infantry or cavalry officers the portepee would be similar to what you have, but it should be a grey leather strap with 3 rows of bullion thread. This particular sword, be interesting to see the blade as it could be correct for certain divisions of Police /Gerdamen.

From Anderson's description, it could look like this one.
