Article about: Not sure if this is a good knife or not, picked it up this week in a junk shop while on holiday. No makers mark or stamp. Only cheep so took a gamble .

    Use it for fishing. This is a reproduction knife in the style of Gottieb Hammesfahr, recently made with some attempt at contrived patina. Likely made in India.

    I’ll use it camping then. It was cheaper than a modern knife so all good. Thanks for info

    If a nice carbon steel, it should sharpen up well and hold a nice edge.
