Bavarian Military Merit Order Opinions

I've never had the pleasure of personally reviewing an actual Bavarian Military Merit Order in person, but I've recently come across this particular item and somewhat inclined to purchase it. I've reviewed the pictures through and through and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary (at least from comparison to other pictures online), however, I'm somewhat apprehensive and wonder whether anyone could provide further insights. If real, I would be greatly grateful for any additional information.

The sword is stamped with "GH 900", while the cross itself has "GH 950" stamped on it.

It's a good one, with gold medallions and the typical wide rim on the lower cross arm reverse. There appears to be a lot of wear to the enamel on the obverse, which is a bit weird. Maker is Hemmerle of Muenchen.

Now that you mention it, it does seem rather unusual! The photos sure highlight the scratches on it, which I failed to notice when viewing it in person. I suppose I only was looking at cracks and dents.
