Eisernes Kreuz 2 Klasse unmarked

Well 2024 is under way and this one is a Brass framed beauty. A bit knocked about over the years, but, as you all know, I love crosses with character.

There's no makers mark to this one and the core is quite a common one as I have this same core in crosses marked F, K & We. I have also seen this core in crosses marked FR as well as by Wagner. Quite a common core this one.

I'm still trying to nail this one to a maker looking at the frame but I've been drawing a blank over the last few days since I've had it in hand.

I would love to hear any thoughts you might have on this one as to the maker.

Nice one Ken, I like it as well. Very nice core details.

I like the condition of this one. The brass showing through.
The core was used by a few different makers so the search is on to match
a frame to it.
