Harp Madalyası "Galipolli Star" - valuation
Hello everyone,
A rare medal for valuation - Harp Madalyası "Galipolli Star". Found in a box in KURLAND!
Ottoman production, known as primitivePlain red paint, sloppily finished, and plain cheap fastening. This is the first type. Featured in the book: Harp madalyasi. Author: M. DEMIR ERMAN.
Paradoxically! More German and Austrian versions have survived than the Ottoman ones.

Not a rare medal, I wouldn't even classify it as scarce. But certainly collectible. I like these Ottoman examples in zinc. As for value, I think that is frowned upon in this forum.

or ebay for stars of similar condition.
