Just arrived. It was advertised as being "Battle damaged". Maybe it is, maybe not but it still
shows plenty of character.

I was addicted to the "Hokey-Pokey" but I've turned
myself around.
I believe it to be an KO or possibly the makers mark was destroyed.

Interesting cross, Greg.
It appears to have been close to a high heat source.
Regards,
Steve.
It's definitely melted. Battle damaged during the wars or a house fire in 2010, no way to tell.
I am a big believer in----"Buy the item, not the story" but I like the thought of it being battle related.
It will look good next to my Ek2 with the blood stained ribbon---

Hi Greg, great EK1. Yeah, it looks like a K.O. to me also. I wouldn't like to have wearing it if it was battle damage!! It looks like heat damage; but not for long as the paint is almost all still there, Cheers, Richard.
Thought I'd add a photo of my recent pick ups. I'll have to get a better camera to take some close-ups of the stamps on the rings.
All are marked. And as someone stated before, these sure do get addicting!
They all look like good original pieces. I'm looking forward to the close ups.

Just got this EK2 today. It's only my 2nd Imperial.
The mark on the ring looks like 'IV' or 'LV', not sure, any ideas are welcome.
Roger, it looks to be "L W ", a known mark, unfortunatly, by an as yet unknown maker...a perfectly good original !
Prost ! Steve.
