Here is a Meybauer single-sided example produced between the wars. Even though this is a crappy photo, you can see the difference in quality.
I relied on many people to help authenticate mine. But it is a Wagner, completely different than this example.by VtwinVince

Very true, these single-sided examples are much disputed as to their original intent. Some feel that they were theatrical pieces, others that they were for funeral pillows. There is photographic evidence that they were worn by recipients during the second war.
