Article about: It's been really slow in the forum for a while now. Things are slow, money is tight, whatever the reason may be so I thought it might be fun to show off your favorite Imperial goodies whethe

I think it's great to have items handed down through the family.
    Thanks for sharing them.

I know this isn't a medal, but one of my favourite non-family pieces, the 1917 flying jacket of Leutnant Robert Strey from Jasta Boelcke. There is a tailor's label in the inside pocket confirming this.
    Very nice
But Leutnant Robert Strey of Jasta Boelcke?

Yes, he scored a couple of victories in Macedonia with Jasta 25 before being posted to Jasta 'B' in April, 1917. I also have some of his decorations and bits from when his estate was broken up.

Picked this iron cross class II

It was displayed in a plastic frame that's in pretty rough shape and poorly done. I will probably make a new display.

Can anyone tell me what the first 3 mini badges are on the rope starting on the left?

All three are veteran's association medals.
The first one is the "Preußischer Landes Kriegern Verband" (Prussian National Warriors Association)
the second one is the "KYFFHÄUSERBUND medal" and the third one is the "Deutsches Feld Ehrenzeichen" (German field cross) commonly called the Hamburg medal.
